Thanks to a posting last week I remembered a ham hock I had smoked and put into the freezer for later use.

So it will be beans and ham for dinner with some biscuits and salad.

I will post more pics later

Still cold weather eats up there Mrs. Diva?
Lookin' good ;)

LOL no it is 26 up here today. But I need to empty my freezers out I have to stock up on ribs and chicken for practice.

They were very yummy.

Forgot to take a pic.

I'd say that's cold!!

I'm guessing Diva means 26*C. Hocks and beans are one of my favorites. Diva is making me want to move south -- to her neighborhood.

That looks and sounds great, Diva. Doesn't matter what season it is. :D

We have ham 'n beans 'n cornbread just about every week unless we're traveling. I look for sale hams and cube 'em, then put the cubes in single-meal packages in the freezer. A couple of cans of Bush's pintos, a package of ham, and 9 or 10 shakes of crushed red peppers out of the pizza shaker jar (with the holes in the lid drilled out to 1/4"), simmering while the cornbread bakes. Stone ground yellow corn meal. It's worth it.

I like that idea John...I love beans, especially the kind Diva just
made....I eat em with vinegar and corn bread to sop up the
pot likker!
