I have done that, tasty indeed. I have found that it's better if made the day before.

a lil tip.... put the salt on the cabbage before mixing. Put salt on the shredded cabbage, toss, and put it in a strainer over a bowl. The salt will wick out the moisture over a hour or so. Then when you make the slaw you won't have slaw SOUP the next day.
