Rawhide and Blazing Saddlles would be where you heard that voice....silenced today
One of the greats of 20th century popular music, a one-of-a-kind voice. Did you know he started out as a jazz singer, a club entertainer? I think it was Mule Train that launched him on the pop scene. He was 93.

(I remember trying my best to mimic him with my little-kid voice when Mule Train was getting regular play on the radio. )

Well mighty sorry to see him pass. I did not like most of his stuff but the rawhide deal was purty good and the other thing yall mentioned wasnt too shabby either. Hopefully he was right with the Lord and has entered a more pleasant place than than his previous habitation.
