I LOVE THIS PLAN!

Retirement Importance:

If you had purchased $1000.00 of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00.

With Enron, you would have had $16.50 left of the original $1000.00.

With WorldCom, you would have had less than $5.00 left.

If you had purchased $1000 of Delta Air Lines stock you would have $49.00 left.

But, if you had purchased $1, 000.00 worth of beer one year ago, drank all the beer, then turned in the cans for the aluminum recycling REFUND, you would have had $214.00. Based on the above, the best current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.

It's called the 401-Keg Plan

Well them cans can be problematicall. The dearly deceased DIL run a beer joint for about 25 years and he was a big believer in recycling them aluminum cans at the scrap metal place for a tidy profit. Only thing was he carry em around in his pickup till he get a full load. Whew..you could smell him coming a mile off. A stranger woulda swore he a pig farmer with a load of rotten slop in the back. That nearly turn a person into one who dont try to make commerce with them thangs.

Les's sister-in-law has a brother who is a bad alcoholic. He lived in his mom's attic for several years. She never went up there because that was "his" private living space. One day a leak developed and the downstairs ceiling was getting wet. Les's brother went over to figure out what the problem was causing the leak. He went in the attic and it was floor to ceiling with beer cans and bottles. There was furniture, a tv, a Pioneer stereo system with speakers, and all kinds of things under those cans and bottles. There was even a radio turned on in the back corner that had been playing for months, if not years. He didn't want to clean it so asked us to since it was in Michigan with the refundable bottles, he knew we could make some easy money. I went over there one day with Les. It was horrible! In my opinion, cleaning that filth was not worth the money. Les ended up hiring two guys who were out of work to help him. Combined, they made over $1500 dollars from returning the bottles. They started out taking them to the machines but they fill up too quickly. In the end, they just took them to a recycling yard and got the money for the aluminum and glass. It wasn't as much as they would have gotten from the machines for the refunds but it was still a lot more than we had!
