I was at a paving contractor's shop yesterday, and saw a wood stove made out of one of the rollers from an asphalt roller (see photo). I wonder if anyone has ever tried to make a bbq pit out of one of these? The steel looked to be almost 1/2 inch thick. It was pretty short in relation to its diameter, as compared to the propane tanks and other things people commonly use.
