I liked Rock's reference to "cooked in a hole in the ground, over a fire you started with rocks and sticks". That's pretty close to my entry in his contest earlier this year ("You can only get authentic barbecue by cooking in an open pit, over a wood fire, controlled only by the human eye and nose.
