Mojo Criollo
Bought some today (Goya) for the first time....going to marinade some chicken tenders and wrap with bacon for the poker boys tonight.
So I decided to taste some mojo and it wasn't what I was expecting.
No sweetness. I guess it would be good on chicken, but I was a little surprised.
Is the Goya brand a bad brand by any chance?

LOVE the stuff.
You can brighten it with the addition of fresh lime juice.
I have also added some turbinado or honey to it
from time to time. I use it as a marinade when doing
large amounts (10 or so cases) of chicken halves for
church groups and company picnics.
Baste with fresh mojo while cooking and then cut
into serving pieces.
Baida also make a nice one
Goya has just come out with a chipotle mojo but
it's been rather hard to locate.

I love the stuff! I'm doing the chicken tenders tonight also and I'm going to marinade them with the Mojo also. Just before they go on the grill, I'm gonna sprinkle them with Larrys rub! Can't wait!

Good stuff. Just don't marinade too long. I go no more than 4 hours. Enjoy.

Bought chicken tenders, jaccarded and marinaded for at least 3 hours. Wrapped in bacon, skewered, and grilled over cherry chips. Couldn't taste the mojo at all. As usual, everyone liked em. I couldn't believe the lack of flavor from the marinade. I think I've burnt my taste buds off
eating peppers.
