Maverick ET-73 or Maverick ET-72?

I was surfing around looking for information on both of these and I can't see much of a difference between the two.

Can anyone here please offer their opinions or experiences?

Diva,

Never owned either one, all I know is that the only one anyone ever talks about and recommends, not only on this board but many others, is the ET-73, so I have to assume that for whatever reason that is the preferred unit.

Diva,
The ET-72 only monitors the meat, but the ET-73 monitors both the meat and the pit temp. I have had two of them for many years and they've both worked perfectly and still calibrate to +/- 2* of 212* when placed in boiling water. They are great units and I would highly recommend them. Matter of fact, I'm more than likely going to buy another one since I've run into needing three on a number of occassions.

You can usually get them from Amazon for $49.99 w/free s&h, if they're not available there are other places that sell them cheaper, but add shipping and generally they come out to be about the same price.
