For what it is worth, I attended a KCBS Judging Class in Ohio today and found it very worthwhile. Almost 50 participants, cooks and "backyarders" like myself all good people. The folks from KCBS were very helpful and Mike Lake the instructor and KCBS Rep. was great. If you have never done it I would recommend attending a class. I even have a better understanding of Greg's ongoing quandary about garnishing the box

Very cool bbquzz. I just took the CBJ class this past Wednesday instructed by Bunny Tuttle. I've been competing for the last 7 years and finally pulled the trigger on taking the class. There were a lot of folks there including two guys from California and a couple from Louisiana.

They run a class at Oink every year that I towel bitch for. Great folk, and it's a ton of fun. Much knowledge there. I learn something new every year. plus you get to eat.. The KCBS class is great.
