Now I know why Capt Morgan doesn't leave the house. Between the heat and the traffic, I'd hide in the basement too.
I stayed at a camp site that had over 800 sites and more than 2000 beach homes. It had it's own post office.
Even though I could see the waves from the window of my RV, I didn't feel like I was at the shore and never even broke out my surf rods. Did I mention it was hot?
Hey Capt, where is a good place to find BBQ? My brother moved down there and is looking for a joint.
It's also hot there.

no good place. best acceptable is Little Pigs on 62nd ave. n. and the bypass.

We're close to the record for the most days over 90 in a year. It's been
freaking miserable, the kind of misery only John Pen can appreciate, and
it ain't over yet. The good news is, most of the stupid tourists like rag
have left.

Thanks for the Q tip.
Your good news will be short lived......Bikers are coming at the end of the month.
Boberquer told me about a good Q joint in Hemingway. We tried to get to it on Friday. Because of swamps, we would have to drive up to Conway, then back to MB area on the other side of a swamp, and then back inland to Hemingway. Looking at all the traffic flowing into MB on rt 544, we figured returning would have been a big headache after a long drive and bagged it. Keep it in mind for yourself sometime.

the one in Hemingway is Scott's Variety store...it's the second best
in South Carolina, close behind Sweatman's.

Get there early Sat morning for skins.
