My law partner's buddy pulled these guys out of Cook Inlet at 6am this morning. The top pic is a red salmon (sockeye to you flatlanders) and the bottom is a silver (coho). You only get this color in wild Alaska salmon.

Looks excellent. I would sure like to have some salmon patties made out of that.

Those are some great looking fish. Looks like they were a pretty good battle for your friend as well. Nothing like the feel of your rod tip bending and pulling .

The buddy is a commercial fisherman. They were caught in a gillnet.

Griff brought some goodies to Oink a spell back. Tasty indeed!

Friends don't let friends eat farmed fish. True indeed!
Thanks again Griff! (where the heck is John?)

Yep Cappy I am with you on that sushi bizness. All we need on this deal is some sticky rice sea weed and a oriental type person who knows whuts whut. Maybe also add a jug of Kikkomann. Have heard tell of them who has ate eat that on ice cream sometimes.
