Just a little heads up for you folk that do your turkey in your oven for the
big day, When was the last time you ran it for more than a hour or so? Have
you looked at the inside since you did that last casserole, Or meat loaf? It
never fails that every year my phone rings on T-day with folk that have a
dead oven after about 2 hours into the turkey, You gas folk need not worry
about too much but to be sure the bottom of the oven is clean, You electric
folk need to look for any bubbles on the heat element or fire it up and look
for any differential in the glow of the bake element. I'm not trying to
scare any one, But now and today is the best time to check out your oven.
Just a little heads up from your appliance repair man from the list. LOL.
Happy early Thanksgiving to all. :D

Thanks Pigs , HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO YOU AND EVERYONE OUT THERE FROM NIKI AND MYSELF !!!

I had a oven coil go when I was living in a apartment. Talk about a scary moment. You hear it arc like a welder, then a snap about as loud as a firecracker, then a LOT of smoke that smells like a fresh weld.

Nasty. At least I didn't have to pay for it.

That was a couple of months ago ~ Wrapped up, packed up and stored in the attic for the winter!

We did ours in the oven too.. :) Couldn't get the chimney's lit in the wind yesterday!................OK. I don't mind the cold but when it comes to the wind, I'm a Pansy ! 8-[

Sheeesh. It was windy and freezing here yesterday.... my bird was done in the WSM....and it was DAM good !
I just looked outside and the WSM is still going...melting the snow around it. even with all the vents closed. Dam I love that thing.
