Well, job wise that is. I don't have one. :?

Got laid off at the end of last week along with several of my friends.... and other fine people at American LaFrance.

Anyway, looks like I already have a new job in Wilson, NC starting Monday. It's 99% a done deal. Last thing that needs to happen is a background check. (Have I mentioned lately that I love "W"? (for all you gov'ment background checkers))

But I do have two new Primos that I found out were shipping to me right before I found out I didn't have a job. D'oh.... If it would have been in the reverse order, Larry might have lost a sale. LOL

Background checks can be cursory or very detailed. What kind of clearance do you need? I'll call Dub and put a good word in for you ;)

Dubya is coming to Operation BBQ for Our Troops at Walter Reed next week. I'll hook you up bro.

Good luck man

wonder if its the detailed check...the really detailed one. or the 15 min quickie. a triangle next to your name ...and they escort you outa the bldg without even asking questions

If they see that picture of you with those red Krocs.....forget it.

You know electronics? Come to Corpus and I might get you a cool job working on flight simulators!!!

Well, there's places where you can get BBQ in and near Wilson ... ;)

Sorry to hear about the dislocation, but it sounds like you'll be okay. Good luck. :D

Sucks about the former job but I hope the new one works out for you. It's no consolation when it happens to you but I see more and more jobs leaving the country every year. I work for a Systems Integrator and there's fewer and fewer manufacturing companies every year. We have to rely on jobs with cities, counties and municipalities now rather than corporations and a few jobs in the food industry. Country is really headed in a great direction.

Good Luck!

Good luck with the new job Chris! Knowing Chris, he'll be welcome where ever he goes. As far as being like Rempe................................................................. he already found a job instead of playing with his computer all day!

Thanks for the good words guys.
I've met lots of great people over the years in the Fire and Rescue industry. Lots in the Automotive and trucking industries before that. This time it's Aerospace and Defence. I'm betting it will work out for the best. And Aerospace never hurts on the old resume.
