Got This From Bigwheel
Not really a joke, is it?
What Happened?
At first I thought this was funny...then I realized the awful truth of
it. Be sure to read all the way to the end!
Tax his land,
Tax his bed,
Tax the table
At which he's fed.
Tax his tractor,
Tax his mule,
Teach him taxes
Are the rule.
Tax his cow,
Tax his goat,
Tax his pants,
Tax his coat.
Tax his ties,
Tax his shirt,
Tax his work,
Tax his dirt.
Tax his tobacco,
Tax his drink,
Tax him if he
Tries to think.
Tax his cigars,
Tax his beers,
If he cries, then
Tax his tears.
Tax his car,
Tax his gas,
Find other ways
To tax his ass
Tax all he has
Then let him know
That you won't be done
Till he has no dough.
When he screams and hollers,
Then tax him some more,
Tax him till
He's good and sore.
Then tax his coffin,
Tax his grave,
Tax the sod in
Which he's laid.
Put these words
upon his tomb,
"Taxes drove me
to my doom..."
When he's gone,
Do not relax,
Its time to apply
The inheritance tax.
Accounts Receivable Tax
Building Permit Tax
CDL license Tax
Cigarette Tax
Corporate Income Tax
Dog License Tax
Federal Income Tax
Federal Unemployment Tax (FUTA)
Fishing License Tax
Food License Tax,
Fuel permit tax

COMMENTS: Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago,
and our nation was the most prosperous in the world.
We had absolutely no national debt, had the largest middle class
in the world, and Mom stayed home to raise the kids.
What happened? And I still have to "press 1" for English

In Cook County, Illinois they have a take out tax. You buy fast food to go and you get taxed. I've also seen a dine in tax. They get you coming and going. Most people don't even realize till you look at the receipt.

If you work "in" the City of Detroit, you pay City of Detroit Income Tax, whether you live there or not. They reason that even if you live outside the city you are using the services of the city. Sooner or later you will need the police so....
Use to piss my Dad off to no limit; Federal income tax, State income tax and City of Detroit income tax. They also add a city tax onto any hotel room rental in the city, it's called a Lodging Tax.
Talk about your taxation without representation. [smilie=a_whyme.gif]

in the US, I think it's in April or May, maybe June.
In other words, almost half of what we make goes
to taxes.
Ridiculous.

Government at any level has not seen a tax that they do not like.

Not to start a tirade again but:
As far a wage earners go, the bottom 50% pay only 2% of the total Federal Income Burden. Add to that those who have no Federal Income Tax Liability and the majority of the Adults (potential voters) are getting off easy and say sock it the rich. So the Dems get elected and promise more freebees making even more folks dependent on the Federal Gov.
Our Founding Fathers must be rolling over in their graves.... .
Thus Endeth the Lesson, off the soap box now, unless this goes to Blue Room.

I live directly ACROSS the street from a large lake.... the properties between the lake and road are approx. 150 feet deep.....
I pay an EXTRA VIEW TAX in my yearly taxes...because I can SEE the lake from my house!
I have a 20 foot right-of-way to the lake that I also own and pay an EXTRA LAKE ACCESS TAX on that....WTF?...of course it's lake access.... the ground goes right up to the water! They told me at town hall that because it's a non-buildable, non-improvable lot, they add the "lake access tax"........unreal!
I don't know who is more stupid....them for levying it, or me for paying it each year.

I wonder if Toddy has to pay taxes on his private elevator? Oops! I forgot, I pay that tax.

Toddler is why I will never move back to Cook County. Don't you just love all the people he's been hiring that are connected in some way to his family.
