Good Eats

Not sure if there are many things better than que, but this may give it a run . The wife went up the road to the local berry farm and picked these. They are the real thing - not like the green picked, flavorless ones from the store. Looks like shortcake for dinner and maybe a few dipped in melted chocolate.

I know what you mean about the green center non-union berries from the store. I use to grow my own and would pick only the ones at dead center ripeness. Thats up there with 'trim'.

Have a Dentist friend that grows them and gives us a couple of gallons of strawberries each year and thay are some of the finest tasting strawberries I have every eaten. 10 times better than those store bought ones.

Great stuff. We can them and boy howdy do they taste good in winter when it's cold and the wind is whistling around your butt on the pit in the morning!
