Some pit manufacturers have an option for that steel section between the 2 doors..they put that section on a hinge so you can get a whole hog in there...

Then you could nickname it Pete (Pete the Pup from "The Little Rascals") (One of the first AKC registered Pit Bulls in the country).

[quote="Vom_Willemstad_K-9"]Wow so far we have a lot of cool names... I will save the suggestions that we have and narrow it down a bit. Even though we do not have the pit as of yet we are still looking for suggestions.
I also changed the door to a single door. At first I had the 2 doors because the wife was freaked out that I may smoke a whole pig. After reading some posts from you guys, I changed the order to a single door which will now require a counter balance.
The wife was freaked out about having the whole pig in the smoker. I guess seeing that there may freak her. But then I explained about how we have whole chickens on our grill and she's okay with that. Plus when we have the chicken cookin we stick a can up it's butt. Guess that I will have to do the same with the friggin pig, but he'll be on his side.
Anyways, here are the list of names we have so far:
Black Stallion
Black Beauty
VomWillem's Smoke Stack
One Sirius Smoker
Canine combustion chamber
Woofin' Puffer
The Kennel's Kooker
Hot Pursuit
Man’s Best Friend
Puppy’s “Partyâ€
