Hauled out some side ribs from the freezer that had been pre-cooked then put in FoodSaver bags, then stored for around 10 months (unintentionally ... kinda forgot about them). Quick thaw in hot tap water then grill and sauce.

I was really impressed with how well they kept, no fooling. Perhaps texture degraded slightly but I would be proud to serve them to anyone so I plan on doing more in the future. Load up the WSM then FS (before grilling) what we aren't going to eat.

Ya gotta love those food savers.

If they were pre cooked, why not just heat in boiling water instead of on the grill?

Me thinks, I have to get one, freezer burn tastes like ....s**t :-X
I've hinted around for Fathers day but.......just another tie :)

I like to grill and glaze with sauce or pepper jelly so I think it's a good idea to save that step for after the freezing.
