Filming Again for MonkeySee.com: Burgers, Dogs and more

The Knowleara folks really liked working with me on those first videos and asked to come back and film more. In fact the young lady I work with said the Producers were fighting over who would get to come down and film and...EAT. lol I sent the last guy back with plenty to share and next thing I know they want to come back.
lol

Any way they called yesterday to tell me that and to ask for my clip outlines for next week's filming. I knocked it out this morning and sent it in. Looks like about 11 clips covering making burgers, some fun with hot dogs, some grilled chicken, steaks and baked beans. I added the beer can chicken they didn't ask for so we'll see.

Here is my Clip Outline and Talking Points. If it looks like I am forgetting something by all means let me know. Thanks for the help and words of encouragment guys and gals.

peace

Mike,

Looks Great!! Love the Beer Can Chicken idea. I think I’m going to come on this shoot – I want to meet you and see you in action!

Also, would you consider shooting another day with us on Deep Fry a turkey? We need it for Thanksgiving. Let me know!

Thanks so much.

I understand you I think. You are telling us of the upcoming videos and antonia wants to meet you and film a deep fried turkey session or something like that. I don't plan any of my videos. I meditate at the grocery store and knock things into the cart. When I leave I look at what I have and create a recipe and cook it. Ofcourse after $185.00...ouch!! I'm a oinker, what can I say...?

oh I'm sorry guys. Antonia is the young lady I work with at Knowleara who are filming for Monkeysee.com.

She said the site will launch Wednesday or Thursday of this week so we'll get to see how well I may or may not have done.

And yes they will be coming ack again on October 23rd to film a Fried Turkey and some Sides and some Turkey Carving.

These folks make me do the clip outlines for them but even when I'm shooting for ya'll I have them laid out in my head with talking points.

Sorry to confuse ya'll

They are coming today and I'm busier than a one legged man in a @$$ kicking contest. Gotta clean up the kitchen real good and the hall bathroom for the young lady coming with Producer and crew.
I got a lil shopping to do and finish cleaning my pit and filming area.

My damn EZ got a broke piece in there. When the heck did that happen?!?!?! Man that sucks. It's cross brace piece just snapped in two. WTH? It's standing but that sucks. Can ya get replacement pieces for these things?

Anyway the site is up but password protected for another day or so while they work out bugs. Antonia said she would show me when she gets here.

Gonna be a ton of cooking and a ton of food so I invited some friends to stop by this afternoon to watch, heckle and eat.

Today in Virginia it's gonna be sunny and in the 80's so it should be a great Shoot. Thanks for the encouragement folks. I'll post some shots and behind the scene video later.

peace

~back to work!

Most excellent success with your vidoes. I love hamburgers and if you have not filmed yet here is what I can add.

When you make the patty, make it a little thinner in the middle so when it swells up the burger is flat. You may already do this. Besides that the sky is the limit from adding hot peppers to placing cheese in the middle.

Thanks Pigs.
I was getting a lil nevous so I cracked a pop.

Gotta cuts some chicken and fry some bacon and a lil more cleaning but I should be fine. I have a huge cooler full of Pops, and Sodas and Waters and some Wine for folks that stop by.

I think having more people here is going to help me cus they'll all be friends and I'll basicly be cooking for them and joking with them too.

I just need a band like Emeral has then I'll be set!

It's an absolutly lovely day here in Virginia and I am getting excited.

Back to work!

Man I wish I could share the password to see the Vids from weeks ago!
They look great. I made a couple mistakes and said 1 or 2 wrong things but really did pretty well for an amature. The clips look Pro.

I didn't get any shots of them or behind the scene stuff. They come back in 2 weeks to do more and I'll try then. This is a great learning things.

Oh, Greg Antonia asked when you are coming down to film too. You can stay here and use my grills if you need bro. Also others who can come here near DC I can help you on the site too. Larry you should pop over with Grills and Rubs. These folks are cool and open to good stuff.

Thanks guys and I wish I could give you all the password but I would get in trouble. The site will be live in a couple days with my latest videos too.

peace

EDIT: Look at Me, Look at Me! For folks that think I talk too much about me. Sorry guys I just had to blab.

I'm Prime Meat for some Ribbing guys and I know it.

I love ya'll food pics and I love telling what BBQ is doing for me...not what I am doing for BBQ.

Most boys here are Trumping me on what BBQ and they are doing trogether. I'm just tickled pink at how BBQ has helped a guy like me do well, all hacked up and such. In some ways BBQ is a great Equalizer. Young, Old, Healthy and Handicaped can all Que and compete. I love BBQ

Thanks guys. I know when vids come out I'll take a beating for a couple things I got wrong. Gotta love that too!

Wow

How'd that happen?

I'll let ya know when it's live
Thanks

The MonkeySee.com site Launched the other day and I wanted to see how it went before sharing the link with you all.

I have to say it is an awesome learning time to work with them on making How To Food Videos. Yeah the talking in front of the camera is a natural for me but after watching the 20 videos I have so far I see a greater responsibility to teach good solid methods and have my facts right.

If you watch them to pick me apart it will be easy to do. I made a mistake naming where Baby Backs come from and just a few other things. Also on FoodTV and such they shoot 10 to 30 clips and we had to shoot between 2-4 minutes straight. Each clip you had to say certain things and on the way out of each clip certain things. A segment's Introduction is actually filmed last cus you remember better what you did then what you will do.

Here's the link and I hope I made ya'll proud. I did name drop a couple of you boys and heck my dog made the Chicken video too.

http://monkeysee.com/
Go there and click either Food and Drink or click the Most Viewed tab and mine are some of the most viewed.

You can access straight to my page by going here: http://www.monkeysee.com/channel/show/141

I hope you enjoy tho ya'll are too skilled to learn much. Tell me how you think I did for my first times and if you think I have a chance in the big time man.

Yeah, I'll be able to take some abuse over some of the things I say like foil being the "Texas Crutch" in the Rib video and other stuff. Oh well.

Enjoy!
peace

For 20 years I have been a Lead Singer/ Guitarist for my bands and also many time MCee for a zillion Events for last 10 years. Most time I had no script and had to BS my way through it.
At least here I and Key Points if not a Teleprompter with Cues.

Thanks man. I worked hard on those and paid for the food and time but I believe it was worth it.

Thanks for the reply

They came back yesterday and we filmed 1 Episode of 8 videos on Injecting [JB got a plug] [2] Turkeys and cooking [1] the old fashion way in a Deep Fryer with Peanut Oil and another 13lb Turkey in the Big Easy Oil Less Cooker and also Carving and many Safety Tips.

Here is a picture of the Producer David and Dale Sr.
http://www.mikehedrick.com/bbq/monkeyshoot01.jpg

To the left of what he was filming.
http://www.mikehedrick.com/bbq/monkeyshoot02.jpg

Then my "stage". lol You can see in the back out of camera I had another table of preped stuff and gear.
http://www.mikehedrick.com/bbq/monkeyshoot03.jpg

This shoot took about 3.5 hours and went very well. David hoped this video with Thanksgiving coming up would get as many Views as the Carolina Pulled Pork Intro which is the MonkeySee.com 's Most Viewed Video at over 27,000 views. http://monkeysee.com/video/watch/2199

They will do a National Media Blitz as soon as all the bugs are worked.

Not sure if it will lead to any thing but it sure was fun to "play act".

Thanks for the encouragement guys.
peace

I just took the time to watch all of your videos Mike.

I got to say you really did a good job. Standing in front of a camera is very intimidating and I thought you handled yourself well.

Nice work.
