Dr. BBQ's voice

I just discovered the podcasts and can't thank you enough for the shows. Just one question. The two episodes with Lampe - his voice would cut out and sometimes there was some kind of electronic sounding interference with his voice. I haven't noticed this with any other guests. Am I going crazy?
