I've been fairly quiet lately on the board, just like this time every year,
because I HATE SUMMER! Triple digit heat indexes for 90 days in a row
means not much grilling.

However I did have to try the clams a couple of weeks ago...first though,
in reverse order  are the pickle and chow chow results...that's been
the summer hobby...INSIDE

It all looks good, but the Chow Chow looks wonderful! Does it taste as good as it looks? If so, and you decide to sell some put me on your list. I like Mrs. Campbell's from Winston-Salem, but would prefer homemade.

You hate summer. But doesn't your crib get hot canning?
Love to try the chow chow. Trade ya' 2 jars. Gramma's recipe bread and butter and dill pickles.

I'll take that trade Puff. Just canned the chow chow yesterday, so
haven't tried it yet.

I keep the AC low enough so the kitchen doesn't get to hot, but
geez louise does that vinegar and onion smell get strong!

I figured it had something to do with AC.
Trade on man! I'm not too happy with the dills. First time try. Got the bread and butters nailed. (Grandpa' told me so before he passed. )
That smell will clean any nose out.

I wish I had a jar of chow chow, haven't had it in years. The bread and butters sound good too!

I'll trade you guys the Wolfe Rub recipes for a jar of each!

Great chow there Jim. The canning madness Has not started as of yet here. But it will. :D
Along with sausage making. Boy Howdy, nothing better than going to get that chow out when the snow is up to your butt in the middle of winter.

PIGS
Who needs your Chow Chow recipe. :D

I'll post it if it's good, haven't tried it yet. It's thrown together
from numerous recipes I got from the web. There's a very real
chance it could suck, in which case I'll gladly trade with anyone
who wants to.

Pigs did it already, should be marketed soon!

Looks mighty yummy Cappy. Now this right here is a clear cut illustration why everybody needs to own a fully equipped RV type gizmo. I cook stuff in the camper which would be intolerable in the crib. Also a good place to make sausage. Rip out the carpet and put down a slick floor. A floor drain is good too. Dont get a real nice one to do this kinda stuff inside thereof. Now you can have a nice one too but dont make chow chow in it.
