Ok since my wife and I both work sometimes I don't have time to cook a roux ( equal amout of oil and flour cooked until dark brown I my case), so I have to buy already cooked roux.
Now I placed some chicken stock a couple of bay leaves and some fresh crack black pepper to boil, then I added some onions, bell pepper, celery and garlic with the stock.
Added 1/3 roux from the jar and simmer it for one hour.
Places the chicken and fresh sausage and cooked for another hour.
My wife made some potato salad and cooked some rice.
We made this one afternoon a couple of weeks ago when it was in the forties. I wish you can smell this cook!!!
