I have eaten at a place called Tom's BBQ a few times and they say they are Chicago style bbq. I know there are different regional styles of BBQ throughout the USA. But what makes Chicago syle BBQ different from the others? Does anyone know what the difference would be?

What?! Okay. How about this: Two guys from Toledo get kicked out of a bar and decide to go to Buffalo. After a week chopping up chicken one of the wings falls into some hot sauce. Buzz (one of the guys) says to his buddy Ellis (you do remember Ellis don't you?) “throw that thing in the deep fryer with the mushrooms.â€

I think they serve it on a poppyseed roll with this flourescent green relish and a pepper, pickle , and tomato!

Thing is, I LOVE those things! They have a place at Midway that serves them. If I'm going through there, I purposely don't eat all day so I can wolf down Chicago Dogs at the gate! Sick huh?
