Looking for a chain saw and have no clue. I know I want an 18" bar and something that starts reliably. Hep me hep me!!

we had homelite on the farm growing up, but those gave way to stihl, and the two main ones we had when I was a teen...my dad still uses now, so my money is with stihl

So, you think I should go with a Craftsman? lol I have a Sears gas trimmer that I have literally thrown across the yard because it won't start. Neighbor had a Sears mower...same thing. I'll look at the Stihl. Thanks for all the input.

Not real topical, but I though it was kinda funny.1 I saw an ad for ... I think it was a Black and Decker thing that looked like the Jaws of Life, but had a 4-6"chain saw on the top, and a jaw on the bottom that was serrated like the Miracle Blade. It's an electric thing. You go up to a limb and clamp down on it like a big pair of pruning shears ... CRAZY.

Ahh.. Found the link....
Alligator Lopper.

That is just what I need for my yard.
