They are cool videos. Yesterday my wife an I were at an engine show which also had about 20 steam traction engines. They were running tractor pulls, and she asked if the steamers were going to pull too. I said if they hooked a steamer to the pull rig it would pull that sucker into the next county. :LOL:
I asked one guy with a medium sized job how much it weighed? 12 tons :shock:
 
There is a HUGE steam and gas pasture party here in VA around the middle of August every year. Draws folks in from a very far to visit. It's real cool watching those ole engines running.

I'm a steam train nut too, The old 484 class Hudson Locmotives weighed
648,500lbs :shock: Thats 324 tons :shock: they had 75 inch drive wheels

Husdons aint the biggest built either, Bigboys (class1) were among the largest weighing almost 1 million lbs with a full boiler

JB, I have gone to several gas engine shows, this summer, where many had steam traction equipment there too. You probably have antique engine shows down your way that would have steamers too. Check it out.
