It’s the simple things in life….like some beans and ham that hit the spot for lunch…along with some corn bread..

Mikey sure did like it….

Heres what I did JB…..you can do this about a million ways.

1 Box/Can of Chicken Broth
1 Onion
3-4 Cloves Garlic
A Couple of Ham hocks or Ham
1 Bag of Beans
Salt and Pepper to taste
Water as Needed

Sauté the Onion and Garlic
Add the Hocks and Chicken Broth
Simmer for about and hour or longer
Then add the beans bring to a boil for 10 min and reduce to a simmer and simmer for an hour or two till the beans are soft adding water as needed…add salt and pepper to taste…probably won’t need much in the way of salt…but you will pepper
Don't soak the beans ahead of time...thats what makes the "gravy" BOY

did Mike try my sauce on em?

That gravy looked a heck of a lot better than mine,
which too soupy...I'll try your trick next time.
I like to soak and drain to help get rid of the the
gas causing stuff, but I still fart for hours anyway.

Nice Dog, good N thick. never soak my beans unless the water goes in the beans. Farting is part of the enjoyment.
