BubbaQ submitted a Video to MonkeySee.com

Looks like they have it opened up for folks to join and upload their own How To Videos.

Here is the one he posted here I think and has the Kicked Up "fry the skin" tip for making Pulled Chicken.
http://monkeysee.com/video/watch/2856

I expect to see some Sapo and JB Videos on there soon too.

peace

Greg you rock, literally and the other one. I noticed KORN playing during the show yesterday.

Is ther some place where a fairly inteligent guy can learn to take a video and edit it and compress it for the web? I think my computer has i-movie, maybe I should firewire in the camera and see what goes.

Nice work everyone!

Some I make to laugh at and some I am making to see if I actually can be of some help to new cooks.

I got a funny one about Cookbooks, Cast Iron Pots and my Chef's Tool Box coming up for this site and some Recipe ones for the Charbroil site.
Most I will upload to MonkeySee.com too

I really enjoy planning and laying out clips and such for the How To Videos.

Do you think you can teach someone to cook or they have to learn on their own? I think some people are born to cook and others aren't. We can give tips to ones that are allready talented. When I watch your videos I take mental notes and try to learn. JB's videos I do the same thing after I get my breath back. Has it helped you out "cooking wise" to script everything you video? I guess we take things for granted sometimes. I love cooking for people. I love to learn from other folks too. I like my cajun neighbors in the next state because I haven't met any that can't cook. Eatin and cookin brings people together like the old days. And I'm glad JB and other like to barter too.. Thanks for monkey see Mike. I might start to upload all my vids there soon.. Peace be with you!!!

Surfin Sapo,

I think people learn quicker with visual aid. I have bunches of cookbooks I can reference and I always seem to remember things I see demonstrated from tv or the videos online. I think it makes people think, well this person did it, I can do it.

I also think you have to teach yourself the fine points of cooking by experience (or necessity) I began cooking in college as I would have starved. Then by chance in the 80's I met some guys who where CIA (Culinary Institute) grads and they really got me excited about food.

My instructor in college would tell me that people have a lot of bad drawings in them and they need to get them out before they can draw a decent picture. I think this applies to cooking as well. Some people do have natural talent but I think if you spend enough time you can achieve what any other guy has achieved if you want.

I can't remember the last time I typed this much.

Hey Thanks SS,

Mike I enjoy cooking & having a good time while I'm at it. When I add funny content like Boy, Pay attention or 35354 fum ect.. people remember, Sure you could watch the food network & see profesional done videos. But you can't PM or phone the chefs with questions & other stuff. I started out uploading to multiple sites but it takes too much time.
So far I've made 187 clips & they have been viewed 22,550 times.
I have a growing fan club & have been refering folks away from the other sites I uploaded to, Telling them go to You Tube To see JB & BBQ Central to see my stills & recipes. My wife & 2 daughters were at a very popular local Italin restaurant & overheard someone complaing about their food sayin " You Tubes JB cooks stuff that looks way better than this"
I know Monkey see is a new site & maybe someday it will become a mega site like You Tube or some of the others.
Till then I'll stick with U tube & my fans there...

JB
