I have about 30 to 40 pounds of my buddies Kielbasa in my lang. That doesn't sound right...oh well. We have about 2 inches of ice coating everything. I'm out there building a fire when my feet go flying and I go down hitting my head on the fire box. That hurt!
I just about have the 'walking on ice thing down' when later I do another flip and crash face first into the driveway (whacked the forehead hard). My arm was tangled somehow and the cause of ALL my left side ribs hurting like hell.
If I don't have snow on Super Bowl weekend, I don't want to hear that a fair weather cooker :D
Winter sucks.

Winter sucks.

No pictures of face = No Fall

Hope you didn't hurt the firebox or dent the driveway ;)

My buddy called to find out how his Kielbasa was doing. I told him I was keeping 1/2 for pain and suffering. With the sympathy you mutts show, you ain't getting anything. No pics either.
My wife is home from work now. Think I'll send her out there to pull em off the cooker. I'll tell her to be careful.
Man my ribs hurt.

Well Rag..I will sympathize with ya here. I have done a few face down swan dives myself..even in the summer. The warden keeps saying it the Ezra..but I can't hardly buy into that nonsense theory.

Be happy you didn't break a hip at your age....

Have a few more drinks why don't you. You're at home all day drinking and falling all over the place while your wife works supplementing your social security...nice guy. Bet your neighbors got a good laugh...any video on that????

Man! I'd be pizzed too if there wasn't anyone around to judge my fall. That's gotta suck. And even worse you can't just hop back up like nothing happened with all that ice!

I cracked 2 ribs in an enduro race It sucked big time. They cant do nothin exept give ya pain pills, Rag if it hurts to cough & sneezing almost kills ya See a bone & joint specialist. least you'll get some good drugs to help ya sleep. A back brace also helps worn up around your ribs.
If you did crack a few you gonna hurt for a month, & yeah it sucks bad.

I feel for ya there! Early in the year, I was strolling down a path in Zurich when I misstepped and one foot slipped off the edge of a sidewalk. I almost managed to avoid any damage, but in going down, my right knee hit the sharp edge of the concrete... hurt like hell! Tore my pants too! Hobbled the mile or so back to the train station, back to the hotel and endured a long flight home the next day with a severely swollen knee... Went to the Dr. and found out that I had cracked my knee cap...

Only telling you this so that you don't think your the only klutz among us! I hope that you suffered no serious injuries!

James..

It hurts just to read that

The driveway (and lawn) have this 1 to 2 inch layer of ice over it. Damn sun just melts a thin layer which refreezes to make it even more slick. My wife tried to come up the drive (about 100' long on a slight grade) yesterday and couldn't make it the whole way (4wd spinning). With brakes locked, she side backwards back-down the drive and did a 360* loop.
I have 'post traumatic stress syndrome' from my flips and am scared to get the mail. Think I'll sit in the house and drink.

Barb is a saint. You probably made her walk up the drive and watched her all the way too while chugging your beer.

She had the 2 week groceries in the car and had to carry them up to the house across the ice...many trips. I'm just glad she could keep up and also had the beer re-supply.
