Many moons ago, I use to frequent the area between Ocean City, Md and Virginia Beach. No BBQ to be found back then, just seafood. Chincoteague has some really good fishing! And of course, Blue Crab is every where in that area. Memories....

bbq seems popular in the va beach area but i didn't sample any. too busy eating seafood. had an incredible blacked snapper on wednesday and some pretty good blue cabs today on kent island.

My wife and I honeymooned in V.B. last August for 2 days, spent 6 days on the Outer Banks.
The only Q I saw was Bubba's on the Outer Banks, I didn't see any in V.B. only seafood (yuk)

i saw bbq under many banners. some called it bbq pit beef others just ribs, chicken and crab.
but i know what you mean about seafood. i like the meatier stuff like shrip, scallops and even salmon before much of the other stuff.
|
The second night we were there we went to one of those "buffets".
I tried everything they had even crawfish!
Barely made it back to the hotel room #-o
If I have to eat seafood, Scallops would be the one

anything that sez "buffet" should be avoided at all costs.
|
Now you tell me #-o
The rest of the trip was awesome, we're going back to the Outer Banks in Aug.

That's funny Nick, I have my daughter hooked on it also, but the wife won't touch it. You are correct too about having it cooked correctly...it's either great or it's like chewing a football.

Guess I've never had it cooked right. Everytime I've tried it, I'm reminded of the cartilage between the breasts on a chicken. Not my favorite that's for sure!
I do love crab legs, crab pattys, deviled crab, any kind of shrimp, fried oysters (won't eat them raw), fried clams, clam chowder, pretty much anything goes for me! Unfortunately Les doesn't like any seafood so I rarely have any.
