Goooood morning everybody. Glad to see we have another bbq board to read....there's never enough!

Myrtle Beach here (21 degrees right now), have a WSM and custom tow behind I use for a few catering gigs and such. Plan on my first competition this year, and I'm sure I'll be bugging you all for advice.

Welcome aboard Captain Morgan! Glad to have you!! It's 0 degrees here this morning with wind chills at -18  What part of radio are you in?

Hi Capt. Morgan! Glad your here!

If I may ask, how did you hear about this little site?

Cleveland, Ohio: 6 degrees w/ a 15 below wind chill!! NICE

I found the site because Bill the Grill guy emailed me about it.

Actually Bill, I have thought a lot about it and it looks good. We need to find a date that works with my schedule. I'm doing Smoke on the Beach here in April, which is not even sanctioned. Before I do a sanctioned one, I want to just be a team member. I also want to see firsthand how you do your brisket. ;)

We may be asking you for some advise. Welcome aboard.

Welcome aboard.

I wish I had a dollar for every time I've said your name at a bar. You'd never see my fat ass on this forum. :drinkers:

Wish I could take the credit on this one. Chris emailed it to me then forwarded to my mailing list. He is the shrewed one. I do plan on putting a link to this forum on my web site if thats okay. Just let me know what image you want me to use.

Captain, your a radio jock aren't you? Thought I had seen that on one of the boards.

My brother live in North Myrtle. He's a private pilot for a developer. He used to do the traffic for a couple of the radio stations in the area just to get flight miles.

yeah, I do a morning show. I'm off by 11 a.m., which explains my presence on these boards all afternoon! Did your brother fly the helicopter? Current traffic service doesn't fly anymore.

That was the first attempt. Current company just calls around and uses the internet. I wish someone would pay me to fly around and report the traffic...what a life!

Is he still here?
