Another new visitor
Goooood morning everybody. Glad to see we have another bbq board to read....there's never enough!
Myrtle Beach here (21 degrees right now), have a WSM and custom tow behind I use for a few catering gigs and such. Plan on my first competition this year, and I'm sure I'll be bugging you all for advice.

I found the site because Bill the Grill guy emailed me about it.
Actually Bill, I have thought a lot about it and it looks good. We need to find a date that works with my schedule. I'm doing Smoke on the Beach here in April, which is not even sanctioned. Before I do a sanctioned one, I want to just be a team member. I also want to see firsthand how you do your brisket.

Welcome Captain, glad to have you.
The Caption has a pretty good BBQ website going himself. Give it a look: BBQ Board

Welcome aboard.
I wish I had a dollar for every time I've said your name at a bar. You'd never see my fat ass on this forum.

Captain, your a radio jock aren't you? Thought I had seen that on one of the boards.
My brother live in North Myrtle. He's a private pilot for a developer. He used to do the traffic for a couple of the radio stations in the area just to get flight miles.

yeah, I do a morning show. I'm off by 11 a.m., which explains my presence on these boards all afternoon! Did your brother fly the helicopter? Current traffic service doesn't fly anymore.

Nope, plane. He was 'Fly'n Brian' on one of the stations. I don't know whether it was the same for all or not.

That was the first attempt. Current company just calls around and uses the internet. I wish someone would pay me to fly around and report the traffic...what a life!
Is he still here?
