Almost ready to buy that Thermapen

3 second readings... I am almost ready to spend the money...

This weekend's cook.. I put my digital thermometer in a brisket in the middle of the smoker.. it starts ticking up the temp... slooooooowly.. it was maybe in there 30-45 seconds before it finally settled on a temp... when i go to grab it and pull it out.. the @&^* thing comes apart... ticks me off... 85 bucks for a 3 second read is sounding much better.

Did cappie ever get his thermapen?

And I've shared that experience.

I just went ahead and ordered it...to me, saving 15 bucks and having to package and ship 4 other therms wasn't worth it.

But I'm lazy. There are enough others on the thread i started to
get the discount if anyone wants to take charge. Big GQ also said
he's in.

my taylor slid off into the oil last night so I just decided the heck with it and ordered the thermapen. now in orange even.
