You are CORRECT. The Elephants spent $$$ a like drunken "stuck N Iraq" Donkeys on leave. IMHO this issue, along with a near to total lack of action on Illegal Immigration coupled with the police action in Iraq caused some of the party faithfull (enough to change the facet of government) to worship at the alter of false gods. Of course, once the fallen have realized the error of their ways we will take them back into the fold...
I think it was Uncle Bubba who said it in a different thread, but things go nuts when one party has both the legislative and the executive majority. It seems checks and balances really works.
