WSM side tables

I did a handle mod using Genie garage door handles to the center section of my WSM, and got to thinking about side tables to hold thermometers and remote probes, tongs or gloves-nothing heavy because I'd be afraid of it tipping. So I got some threaded rod and some T-nuts and some Ipe decking shorts and came up with this creation. They just slide in or out of the handles and break down for storage when covered. These are sort of a prototype, because I'm thinking of using some 1/4" tinted Plexiglass for less weight and it will blend with the WSM.

That looks good. I think the WSM is to low to the ground (for old farts like me) I have 35 year old smoker that sets up higher, its shelf is about 2.5 ft off the ground It makes it easer to tend the firebox, here's a photo

Nice mods. I would like to post pictures of my WSM but something about making five post before you can add photos. Oh well, in time.
