I got tired of the wind blowing the dripping fat from my smoker all over the place. Plus I never remember to put something under the drain hole until it's too late. A soup can is not big enough. If I use a pan, then I have to clean out the pan or throw it away. I'm welding an 3/4" valve in tomorrow. Tired of my driveway and smoker looking like BP oil used it. I can drain the fat and shut off the valve. It will look like Mr. Clean used it. Just don't want to forget and let it go to long and build up. I hear you can get a bad grease fire going.

Added a 6" nipple so the jug will just fit.

If you fill that sucker up with meat, LEAVE THE VALVE OPEN!

Don't ask me how I know this.

In that jug, you can see the level of the grease before it fills.
