starter bbq pit

Heck, I think I started about 22 years ago on a kettle type.
It kinda mushroomed from there. Got serious about making pits
in 1984. Kinda went overboard then, & been cooking & welding ever since.

I think I have 16 now. A 14ft beer bottle smoker, a full chuckwagon,
1906 baby carriage smoker, phone booth pit, steer roaster, 3 hog roasters, 5 backyard smokers, 4 grills, etc etc
Also Bling Bling, which is my newest creation. She's a beauty.
I think I will keep this one for a while. Sure is fun to cook on.
Here's a link to the pictures of it. Just scroll down. cut & paste to see it.

I gotta say, BBQ'n outside is a real passion for everyone here.
Gives ya something to do with your hands while the football game is on,
& the drinks are cooling. See ya in the Great Outdoors.
Maybe we can hang at some of the cookoffs coming up.
Should be a ton of fun. Dave Klose

types of pits

Oh Yeah. one Weber, one bullet smoker, a State of Texas Smoker.
Those were the backyard catagory. I tried to stay practiced on diff.
pits for travelling. You never know how much you can pack for a certain area of the USA.

Besides, I collect em. Some people collect cars, motorcycles, etc
I like grills & smokers. A fun hobby/work.....
