Well apparently the term butter beans is one of the old geographical deals. Had and old partner from GA many moons ago. He would argue till he was blue in the face that whut us po white Tejas oil field trash called butter beans was actually a white Lima..then he go off on tangent trying to splain whut the peckerwoods in the deep South claims is really butter beans. I never could quite figger it out whut he was spouting about. He looked like a young version of Robert Redford..with fluffy hair and a bunch of pearly white teeth. He was a chick magnet. I used to work his cull pile back in the old sinning days..lol.

I thought Butter Beans were bigger then limas and white instead of green.
