Heres the soup recipe
Beefy Veggie Soup

Put 8 soup meat steaks the (ones with the large bone in center) in a 12qt stock pot
with 6 qts of water, bring to a boil then simmer for 2 to 3 hours,
Turn off heat & let the fat rise, skim most of the fat out & break up the meat into hunks
Add 1 small cabbage 2 onions rough chopped return to simmer also add
4 toes of garlic smashed & chopped
1 large tunip diced
2 ribs celery chopped
1/2 tsp salt & black pepper
ajust water as needed
let simmer 1 hour then add 5 to 7 med potatoes pealed & cut into 1/4s
after the tators are tender (about another hour) add the following with the juice
2 cans Italian style stewed tomatoes
1 can carrots
1 can black eye peas
1 can whole cernal corn
1 can string beans
1 can sweet peas
1 can lima beans
1 can mushrooms
stir & taste for salt, add if needed. when soup returns to a simmer its time to eat
Note: Barley can be added if disired cooked acording to package directions You can also use fresh veggies.

Serve with a warm French bread glazed with drawn butter.
