well since Finney is ignoring us, here's one...

Here's the recipe for the one they make at the Barbecue
Center in Lexington.

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 teaspoons black pepper
2 tablespoons sugar
Salt
2 teaspoons vinegar
1/2 cup ketchup
2 cups cabbage, chopped

In a small bowl, mix together the dry ingredients. Add the wet ingredients and mix well. The vinegar mixture should have a reddish appearance. Pour the mixture over the cabbage and stir to combine. Chill the slaw in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.

I also have the one that Monks serves in Lexington...however it
starts with 100 pounds of cabbage. Not sure if you want to make
that much your fist time!!!

Not your everyday Barbecue Cole Slaw

2 envelopes of unflavored gelatin
1/2 cup cold water
1 cup water
1 cup apple juice
2 Tablespoons lemon juice
3 Tablespoons chopped onion
1 cup shredded cabbage
1 cup diced celery
3 Tablespoons chopped pimento
3 Tablespoons chopped green pepper

Soften unflavored gelatin in 1/2 cup cold water. Add 1 cup water. Heat to boiling, cool slightly and add apple juice and lemon juice. Continue cooling until mixture starts to thicken. Fold in onions, cabbage, celery, pimento and green pepper. Pour into a 1 quart mold and chill until set.
 It seems like a slaw jello. Different.

Well I thought maybe you wanting to make some cole slaw which taste like bbq..silly me. Best way to get good cole slaw is to got buy some at KFC. They got the best. I got the recipe for it too in case you too lazy or broke to go buy some. Let me know. Now I would not mess with the instant taters or brown gravy. Think the Col himself say he would not feed them two particular items it to his dawgs..this be after he franchised it out and went on a quality control patrol of some of the restaurants and prior to his untimely demise. Thanks.
