I posted this in this section because most people come here often at least I do.

Before you upload your picture if you resize your picture so that it take up less KB or MB it will load much faster especially for those of us on dialup.

I found this on the Microsoft site that will resize you pictures very quickly.

Go to http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/down ... rtoys.mspx

and download ImageResizer.exe

Install the program and when you are ready to use it right (alternate) click your mouse when you are on the photo and you'll see the "Resize Pictures" option. Choose it and it will give you a few choice sizes to pick from. It will save the photo with the original name and place the word (small), (medium),(large) after the original name. It will not erase the original file unless you want it to under the advance option.

I works great for me.

I use Imagecave alot to post pictures then put the URL in the textbox of the forum post.

I also use Imageshack

There are other sites to post pictures as well.

Irfanview is also a good graphics program (free) that can resize photos, among many other things.

BTW, I was in Asheboro (actually, at the zoo) last Saturday. I walked my legs off, and still didn't see everything.

I use Image shack, and Image Cave.
Image cave lets you show multiple pics, while Image shack only allows one, unless you do a slideshow.
Is dial-up different from cable?
As far as viewing pics?

Dialup takes forever to download anything. There is alot of different in speed between cable (roadrunner in this area) and dialup.

I can't get cable or DSL where I live. I was told maybe in April or May DSL could become available. There were three different Sprint trucks on my road the other day and I stopped an asked. I do have Direct TV. I don't know how reliable satelite internet is so I never got it. It is pretty expensive also.

Larry D.,
I know what you mean about walking your legs off at the zoo. It is a pretty large zoo. I live pretty close to the zoo.
