Kona Coffee-Bourbon Barbeque Sauce

1 cup bourbon whiskey
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 cup choppped yellow onion
1 tsp. red pepper flakes
2 tsp. chopped fresh garlic
2 jalapenos (seeds removed and fine chopped)
1 tsp lemon zest
1 cup ketchup
3/4 cup Strong brew Kona Mountain Coffee
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce
2 Tbsp. Dark Molasses
1 Tbsp. Red hot Sauce
1/2 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper.

In large suacepan, add oil over medium heat. Add onions and red
pepper flakes. Stir until soft for about 3 minutes. Add garlic,
jalapenos,ketchup, coffee, brown sugar, nvegar, lemon juice, lemon
zest, Worcestershire sauce, molasses and hot sauce. Stir to dissolve
sugar. Bring to simmer. Add bourbon whiskey and simmer 10-15
minutes. Remove from heat. With hand held blender or food processor
puree until smooth. Add salt and black pepper to taste. Lightly
coat ribs with barbeque sauce and marinate for 24 hours.
