Jay Curry is a top notch pit maker! I have interviewed him before on the show. You CANNOT go wrong with a Spicewine cooker!!
 
Pretty sure he started making them as a knock off of stumps smokers I only say this because while I was looking for a smoker years ago that was the rumor at the time that being said true or not I have a stump smokers stretch it took me a long time to decide on which style & builder to go with I am very pleased with my stretch here is a link to their site he has a forum look around join ask questions

Well I don't care who knocked up or off who..I just take the one which cooks the best:) I mean them thangs aint nutting but rectangular and insulated WSM's. I could make one if I wasn't so busy most likely.
I would make mine much simpler than the store bought models. There is way too much crazy injuneering on them gizmos. Hollow walls with air ducts. Now thats a hoot. They still cook hotter on the bottom.
