The WSM is all set for the night. The grate temperature is running at 238. The pork butt is at 91. There's 8 inches of rain coming tonight and tomorrow from tropical storm Danny. I hope she'll be ok.

I think the WSM can handle the wind, but rain runs inside from the dome not having a lip.. I found that out by leaving the cover off one time while it rained... send some rain down here please!! :D

We;re supposed to get 3 to 5, started round 1:30 this morning while I was adding some stick to the FB. Still raining, but slowin down. Heading down to the pit in a few to trim up some brisket for a midnight start tonight. Rain sux when yur cooking and sleeping in the back of an Xpedition....

The WSM performed well in the storm. I had to use more fuel to keep the temperatures up, but she ran beautifully. The pulled pork was great too. Now I am looking forward to smoking in a winter nor’easter.
