A guy on the local BMW bike board posted this --

which got this response, an event menu worth saving:

Hodge Podge said:
Sampled the Bacon Explosion recently on my friends' annual midwinter camping trip--a pound of fried bacon wrapped in a couple pounds of de-cased italian sausage wrapped in a woven mat of bacon, then set on the smoker for a few hours. Ridiculously tasty, and went very well with the trip's pork-themed entrees:
Friday night--Bacon Explosion and bacon-wrapped venison tenderloin with potatoes cooked in the fire
Saturday morning--bisuits and sausage gravy
Saturday lunch--tomatillo and pork shoulder green chili
Saturday dinner--smoked pork shoulder sandwiches and smoked pork ribs
Sunday breakfast--eggs with tri-color peppers, bacon, and homefries with leftover pork shoulder

Appropriately, the trip is dubbed "HOTSWINE," for Hats-On, Two weeks after Superbowl Winter-In-Nature Experience
