Well, I didn't get to doa Smoke for Christmas Dinner, but , I went to plan #2...Tamales
I wanted to o something with the Pig rub and Jelly I got from Naked Pig.
Since Trish said no to a shift in the cold and wind... I spinkled rub all over the Butt and rested it overnight as if I were to Qie it, baked it, shredded it and made some of the best Tamales I have ever done.
Then i mixed the rub , the Mayhaw Jelly and bakee it and it turned out to WoW the family.
For an Ohio bunch of folks with thier mild tastebuds, my Southern Style flavor was as great hit...
Thank you Naked Pig for the gift and anyone wanting a change of pace
taste on yer Butt or a TipTop tasting Ham, give the Naked Pig a try.
I know that others of you have your own stuff, But Bro. Pig's has a taste that does well. I myself have a rub and spices, but a change is great to use, and since we all have this great resource(forum)we should try each others products...it's the Brotherly thing to do!
This way when someone ask for advice about certain flavors of Que we can send them in a direction...that way Everyone gets some of the action.
Happy holidays and a Great New Year...
your friend and cohort- and Brother in Smoke
