Got a call yesterday, my dad got a Buck and it will be ready Tuesday for pick up from the butcher. :D We are going to be eating like royalty. 8) :D

The back strap won't last a day! :LOL:

Lot's of cube steak.

These will be tasty this summer. (if they last that long)
Going to make sausage and buck loaf with the rest. Bambi burgers for lunch to day.

Is he making sausage? How are you planning on cooking it? Congrats Dad!!!
 
Congrats Pigs. Now be sure and slice up that backstrap about 1/4 thick and fry it up in a cast iron skillet in bacon grease to have with the moaning aggs. Go heavy on the black peppa and Pet Milk gravy.

Oh hell, how not am I going to cook it. :LOL: Let's see, some on the grill, some on the smoker, some in the cast iron pan, some in the oven, and some jerky. I think that covers it all. :LOL: Dad gave me the whole thing. He has 4 so far this year. Not unlike him to get a dozen in a season. :shock: That's why I don't hunt any more. ;) :D
