Are you in the Ca fires? Scary crap. Hope you're safe.

She's in the shower, I'll let her know you inquired about her safety when she gets out.

The southern most fire, Gap Fire, is in Goleta, CA. I live to the west of it in Lompoc. I was in Goleta last week one day after the fire started. I'll try to post a pic or two. Nothing is close by though, but we do get the some smoke blowing when the winds change. Weeks ago we got some of the ash and smoke from the northern fires too. Yea, I'm OK :)

We have a camping trip at El Capitan state beach in a few weeks and I'm hoping the fires wont effect us in anyway...keeping my fingers crossed. Be safe up there Helen.

I highly doubt they'll let this one turn into something like the Zaca Fire (2 months to put out!!!). I think just you'll get the normal smoke, ash, and haze if the wind blows differently. Are you getting the smoke in TO? Below is a link for the fires lines. www.independent.com click the link at the top for the Gap Fire, great info there.

Love El Cap! Haven't camped there in years. I've been sticking to Jalama Beach.
