Well, right off the bat I have to tell you that I didn't notice any difference in the flavor of the ribs whatsoever after marinading overnight in Dr. Pepper. So, it was just a basic spare rub cook, here's some pics.

Here's the rib tips, and you'll notice I'm using tone of the spare racks I ordered last week on top of the bottom grate. If interested, there is 3 3/4" space between the bottom grate and the spare grate, good for ribs and chicken, maybe not so much for pork butts.

3 slabs of spares, cut in half, ready to meet the smoke.

Rib tips done, all ready for a mid-afternoon snack.

Ribs sauced and ready for the dinner plate in about 30 minutes.

Them bones was good!!

Smoked over Royal Oak Lump using apple and pecan, rubbed with Wolfe Rub Original and Swine Syndicate Rub's. Sauce was Smoky Mountain Smokers. Put them on the cooker at 11:30am and took them off at 6:30pm

I'm amazed at how far your bones stick out from the meat. The bones on ALL my ribs are never exposed. Whats the difference?
Your ribs there look as good as they get. Nice job.

Looks fine Bruce, Try DP or Coke in a spagattie sauce ....You'll taste it then. its a different taste.

BTW my Dogs would hate you.... Pork bones are a no no for dogs....

Oh $hit, I gave the neighbhors little bull dog, who hangs out with me, a pork rib bone this afternoon. Didn't know they were a no no.

Great lookin bones there Bruce! I may need to Q up some spares this weekend. Also, where did you get that rack? I ordered a stacker for my WSM but it's not due to arrive until the end of May and I have a party in a few weeks that I'll need to smoke a boat load of ribs for, I could use the extra room. Thanks

My little 20 lb dog swallowed a pork rib bone whole. WHOLE. He ain't getting no more bones.

Wow. This little dog is maybe 8 pounds and he looked like he was going to gulp it down whole. Pooping would have been a real event.
