It's good he didn't cuss at it when he hit the ball or it would be a "hate crime", too.

There's a par 3 on a course I used to play weekly with a long
water hazard from the front of the tee to the green...you alway
have to kill it....one day a bunch of Canadian geese were parked
right in front of the tee box by the water...I told my friend.."don't skull
this into the water, you'll hit one em...." he hit a beautiful shot
right on the green.

so I step up, carefully draw back, and a 5 wood screamer about 4 inches
off the ground, line drive at 300 mph or so, and this goose about 15 feet from me lowers his head to peck something in the grass, and when he
does, my golf ball screams over his head with about a centimeter
to spare. splash. The goose raised his head and gave me the most
pissed off look I've ever seen a bird make. My friend certainly
enjoyed the moment.

Jim, you play par 3's? I'm going to have to road trip down to give you a spanking  (cuz I herd you like that) But then I herd you invented golf, so it might not be wise.

no, just the ones on the regular courses.
No executive courses either..I'm a long ball
hitter, but I do enjoy a 3 every now and then
....always hoping for that hole in one.
