On Sunday, the weather was rather lousy and since I don't like to spend much time cooking during the week, I also needed something to eat for the week. So, I made 3 types of sausages: "Bockwurst" (I should call it Mockwurst!), Italian Sausage, and Merguez.

I got the Merguez recipe out of the Charcuterie book and found the others through Google. I'll post the other recipes after I've better evaluated the final product.

Some lamb used in the Mockwurst and Merguez...

Seasoned lamb...

Ground lamb...

Mockwurst...

Merguez...

Italian Sausage

Browning up some Italian Sausages...

Reducing a sauce...

Added Sausage, Broccoli, Pasta, and Olives to make my lunch for the week...

And here's dinner last night. Mockwurst with a mustard cream sauce on top of some mashed potatoes and broccolini.

Looks good. Now whut is Mockwurst? If you dont mind a person being nosey of course:) Thats a new one for me. Thanks.

bigwheel,

I forgot to explain the whole Mockwurst bit, sorry. From what I understand, Bockwurst is a commonly made from veal and since I used lamb, I didn't feel it was traditional enough to be called Bockwurst. So as silly as it may sound, my Mockwurst is half lamb and pork with Bockwurst type seasonings.
