I posted that I was hosting a Birthday for my mother about a month ago. Well the day has finally gotten here. So far all is in order. I will be posting some pictures up tomorrow later in the day so keep your eyes open. :P

Well to say the least we had a great day all around, that continued into the night. Good food, good peeps, BAZINGA!!! Good times all around.

Now I know everyone is thinking "Where the hell is the Food Porn!" So off we go. No back talk BW!!!!

1. These photos were taken on Saturday night at around 8:00. This is when my brother in law and myself put the pork shoulder on to cook through the night.

2. This is my brother in law Mike! He has turned out to be quite the Pit Master in training. He can pretty much run the whole show, when I need a beer break! These were taken about 2 hours after placing the shoulders on the smoker.

3. This is the shoulder pulled, I have not put my sauce on it yet. This was a couple hours after pulling it from the smoker, around maybe 10:00am Sunday morning, right after we put the ribs on.

4. Here are the ribs maybe an hour and a half into the cook. I had to switch them up so the bottom rack would not get all the heat.

5. Pulling time! I did not wrap the ribs like I normally do. They turned out though. Here were the first 2 racks.

6. Here were a couple of racks off the bottom rack, seems they got a little bit more heat. Did not really effect them any other than the color.

7. Here they are 6 racks of ribs. When all said and done it does not look like much.

1. Blueberry, Strawberry Sauce
2. Jack Daniels Whiskey Sauce
3. Garlic Peppercorn Honey Mustard Sauce
4. Spicy Peppercorn Sweet Sauce
5. Sweet and Tangy Sauce
6. Hot and Sweet Sauce
7. Store bought: Sweet Baby Rays

I did not get to take any pictures of any desert, I really got busy after the food. Had to set up a fireworks display. Other then a few missteps of other people the day went off with out a hitch. Hope you all enjoy the photos. Sorry it took so long to post these pictures up but I have been very busy.!.!.

Thanks guys, took a whole lot to plan it, was trying to keep it a secret, but someone always let the cat out the bag.

Should have stopped by Buzz, you are somewhat in my neck of the woods.

Good lookin' food. I just gotta ask, though...

No back talk BW!!!!

With all that different sauce, weren't you expecting to turn out good BBQ??? ;) Sauce if to cover up your mistakes, generally.:drinkers::drinkers::drinkers:

I am from Michigan, we do not make mistakes, sir. LOL... No people like sauces, and I have a bunch of different recipes. My friend and I are looking into opening a BBQ Restaurant, and I have to check out and see what sauces people like and such.

What kind of discounts we talking here? ;)
Nice looking Pron

Hey M! glad to see your smiling face in print yet again. I knew somebody would axe a rational question perhaps. Somebody gonna have to take Max under the wing and splains to him if a person wants to get a Hatfield and McCoy deal going on...they need to have a friend for a partner. Having anybody for a partner is total nuts. Anybody who even considers going into any form of the retail food bizness is crazy too. Right?

Well MI, you eat for free brother, as for BW, well double the cost of anything on the menu!!!!! LOL nutting but love brotha!

If you just got to do it..try catering. Least that way you know how many folks you will be feeding..what they might want to eat...and how much help you will need to get them fed. A regular sit down restaurant is a total crap shoot..and draws health goons like a turd draws flies.

U got that right Bw, more than one cook in the kitchen is too many ;) . I work for Sysco. I see first hand on who many are having and hard time .
No brick and mortar place, maybe a foodtruck?
And pay for everything with cash, if you can't, u probley can't afford to be in it in the first place ;-) .

p.s.- I stopped hanging around this site as much because of all the pop up adds. It slows my computer down so much that it took all afternoon to read and post. I see today its not as bad. Gunna try more often.

Thanks for the input. The eldest of the male chillins is in the wholesale grocery selling bizness too and he has some real horror stories of yups who invest their nest eggs in a picturesque little restaurant they have always dreamed of owning. 99.9999% lose their coolas and wind up as door greeters at Wally World. Guess that is the ones who do not get shot by their partners.
